The changing landscapes between Oldebroek and Wezep, where the heather and pine forests of the Veluwe change over into the old polders along the Zuiderzeestraatweg, are ideal for hiking and biking.
For starters, we strongly recommend that you walk along the pathways of the estate Vollenhof.
The larger estates, IJsselvliedt near Wezep, Zwaluwenberg near 't Harde and Molecaten near Hattem, are also open to hikers.

For those that are interested in the customs and traditions of Oldebroek, the museum farmhouse "De Bovenstreek" is definitely worth a visit. En route you will pass by the "Fruittuin Verbeek" where a variety of local produce is sold.

For shopping you can visit Wezep. It boasts a large shopping centre, a railroad station and a swimming pool.

The nearby small towns of Elburg and Hattem have a lovely historic town centre; the cities Kampen and Zwolle as well. The latter two cities offer a wide variety of restaurants. For gourmet dining "De Leest" in Vaassen is recommended!
